About me

Originally from Suffolk, I was always keen to pursue a future with sport, however I also had a strong passion for design. Design won. I chose to pursue a creative future whilst continuing with my sports passion in my free time!

Growing up, I played cricket for Suffolk. I had dreamed of playing for England however my creative drive took over and the dream of being the England captain was replaced with being a Creative Director.

With my love for sport, I have a keen interest in the brand identities for sports brands such as Nike and Gymshark, as well as the design of sports clothing and equipment. In addition to this, I have an evolving interest in games design and I am keen to learn more about the games design industry.

Although not my specialism, I find that my work is inspired by interior design and games design.

My approach to design is constantly evolving. As a student I aimed to tackle a variation of creative briefs to constantly push myself out of my creative comfort zone and expand my creativity and skills. I find that I am drawn to contemporary and minimalist graphic design, however I also enjoy retrospective and typographic work.

I am a motivated designer, who aims for a successful career within the design industry. I would love to progress the skills that I have gained during my time at University by working in the industry as part of a varied and talented team of creatives.

Experience

Elite Pro Sports - Part-time Graphic Designer

During my time at Elite Pro Sports I have been able to gain experience in creating apparel design for sportswear, such as creating designs for the Leeds Rhinos 2021 Summer Training Range. I have also produced various social media assets for a number of teams including; Doncaster Rovers FC, Lincoln City FC, Gloucester Rugby, Leeds Rhinos.

I'M NOT A BARISTA - Graphic Design Intern

I worked alongside a number of marketing interns where we collaborated together to create various social media and promotional content that followed the brand guidelines. Through this, I was able to gain experience and knowledge of marketing strategies as well as experience in designing social media content. I also designed the weekly newsletter using Mailchimp. For this I continued to work with the marketing interns to ensure that the content, as well as the design, was successfully targeted towards the audience and also followed the brand guidelines.

SOKA Studio - Graphic Design Student Placement

Between my second and third year at university I was able to gain experience in a graphic design studio environment and shadow the CEO to build my knowledge of professional design processes. I was able to; experience client meetings, produce mock-ups for completed design work for clients, make corrections in response to client feedback and also produce design ideas and work with the CEO, to create the logo for Aspire Day Services.
